MODICON PLC Corrstack Systems Support & Upgrades

The Geo. M. Martin Company has been an OEM provider of machinery to the corrugated industry since 1955.  We are both a machinery manufacturer and system integrator since we buy sub-systems, such as PLCs, Motor Drives, Valves and other components from other companies.  Throughout the years we have select bought components from large companies that we believe will support their product for many years.

However, since the mechanical portion of our machinery is designed to last for many decades there are certain bought components that can no longer be supported directly by Geo. M. Martin since the company that sold us the components no longer provide us support.  As this occur, we make every attempt to provide the best partial support while designing an upgrade to replace the obsolete components.

The first Geo. M. Martin Corrstack was produce in 1971.  From approximately 1984 - 1989, the automatic setup version of the Corrstack were controlled using the Gould-Modicon 884 PLC system.   The operator interface was a TransTerm touch pad box, similar to the one shown below:

Gould-Modicon has been purchased by Schneider Electric.  The 884 PLC system has been out of production for a long time and support of the hardware has been limited to repair only if in stock.  The Geo. M. Martin Company still stock the items listed below but will no longer take parts back for repair.

For repairs, we recommend contacting Schneider Electric directly at: 800-468-5342, or web site: http://eclipse.modicon.com/  or by email: service.sales@modicon.com.
